We had a wonderful luncheon meeting May. 15, 2010 at Der Dutchman. We welcome new member Linda Lehman and thank all the others who came. Mary Wells spoke about her work with youth in the public housing community in Lebanon and we presented her with a check for $800 for scholarships for her very successful and deserving teens.

August 14-Leadership Workshop, Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, Ohio.
All officers and members encouraged to attend. Highlight: Public Policy workshop on sex trafficking in Ohio with state Senato Fedor and a trafficking survivor.
General Meetings on 3rd Satrday. Bookclub meets 3rd Thursday evenings

Attend Saturday Aug. 14, 2010 State AAUW Leadership Workshop
9:30 Am - 3 PM, Ohio Wesleyan University, Conrades-Wetherell Science Center.
Cost of day and luncheon: $25
Luncheon with featured speakers State Senator Teresa Fedor, who will explain the problem of sex trafficking in Ohio and how her bill SB 235 will bring Ohio law in line with other states and Marlene Carson, founder of Rehab’s Hideaway, a Columbus safe house for women trafficked into prostitution.
There will be two workshops each in the morning and afternoon sessions on bringing your branch online and using the National AAUW’s program in a box.
Take a day and attend a leadership conference where you will meet old friends, make new ones and gain knowledge and skills to help your branch move forward to helping women break barriers in Ohio!
